Flat bottom tanks can have a long lifetime when they are correctly serviced and regularly inspected. EEMUA 159 gives guidance to maintenance, repair and inspection of storage tanks. C&D Access has qualified EEMUA 159 Tank Assessors who can carry out in-service and out-of-service inspection and then carry out a remnant life calculation and wind girder assessments. 

EEMUA 159 Tank Assessments are supported by different NDT techniques, including ultrasonic thickness inspection, eddy current, vacuum box, magnetic flux leakage (MFL - floor scanning) and visual inspection.
